Best Artists 2010

This should go pretty fast, since I honestly don't what I could to add to the numbers. So let's just start this thing.

Best Indie Artist 2010:

#10: AK-69 - 49 pts.
#9: MUCC - 55 pts.
#8: NERDHEAD - 55 pts. (The reason why they're #8 is that they only had one song in the Top 10)
#7: Ai Kawashima - 58 pts.
#6: SEEDA - 59 pts.
#5: Golden Bomber 60 pts.

These artists are pretty close to each other but #4 to #1 were just insanely successful the last year. If you imagine that Golden Bomber with 60 pts. equals 6 weeks of being #1, you get almost scared by the numbers of the artists that are yet to come. And the #1 of the Indies still has nothing on the #1 of the Major charts, so stay tuned !

#4: Sekai no Owari - 91 pts.
#3: CN Blue - 92 pts.
#2: Kariyushi58 - 103 pts.

And the most successful artists, in terms of chart position, was...

#1: VAMPS - 114 pts.

114 pts. If they would have gotten all their points by being on top of the charts, they would have been #1 for 11 weeks. That's almost 1/4 of the year. But as I said, the #1 of the Major charts was even more successful...

Best Artists 2010:

#10: Hey! Say! JUMP! - 41 pts.
#9: Kana Nishino - 48 pts.
#8: Fuyumi Sakamoto - 56 pts.
#7: Bump of Chicken - 58 pts.
#6: KAT-TUN - 61 pts.
#5: Houkago Tea-Time - 67 pts.
#4: Kanjani8 - 73 pts.
#3: Ayumi Hamasaki - 75 pts.

75 pts. is actually a really good result, but what if I tell you that #2 almost has twice that much ? Shocked ? Yeah, thought so. The next two artists were so successful, they just stand above every other one, in the year 2010 of course.

#2: AKB48 - 143 pts.

And the #1 is...

#1: Arashi - 157 pts.

157...just try and beat that in 2011. But it's not looking too good for them, AKB48 is in the lead with 25 pts at the moment - and that's only after week #1 ! I'm not too sure, but I think it's a good guess to say that AKB48 will be in the #10 here next year again. As will The Ricecookers, having gathered already 17 pts. in the Indie charts.

That's it for this year. See you next year when I will give you the statistics for 2011 !
